Jeremy Bowen chronicles the third and forth days of the conflict. Israel conquers Jerusalem's Old City, holy to three faiths. Then the Palestinian exodus across the West Bank to Jordan begins, and Egypt loses the Sinai Desert to Israeli forces.

On June 5, 1967, Israel launched the first air attacks on Egypt and Jordan. The Arab air forces were caught unawares and many warplanes were destroyed even before they took off. Next Israel advanced on the Old City of Jerusalem. Jeremy Bowen, the BBC's Middle East Editor, examines the start of what’s become known as the Six Day War.
