FARMING IN THE CITY            
The world's city dwellers now outnumber the rural population. The BBC’s Andrew Luck-Baker examines the rise in urban agriculture. He looks at farmers who grow crops and rear livestock amid concrete and traffic. Andrew investigates the environmental impact of urban agriculture as well as concerns for public safety.
FIRST HALF




Zohreh Soleimani is not a journalist, but she presents a piercing picture of daily life for young people in Iran. In this half-hour, she examines the impact Iran’s long war with Iraq had on the people of her generation. She also explores how women use their sexuality to fight the political regime, and the challenges artists and musicians face as they try to express their creativity.
SECOND HALF






In this documentary produced for the BBC World Service, Zohreh Soleimani reports from the Iranian border with Pakistan and Afghanistan on the drug crisis that is sweeping Iran. She also explores the boom in Internet use in Iran. Hossein Derakshan and Salam Pax (also known as the Baghdad Blogger) give us a guide to the Iranian blogosphere, which is bristling with lively political dissidents blogging alongside poets and religious leaders.
