The Legacy of
George W. Bush

George W. Bush left office a very unpopular president. But some caution it’s premature to write the final chapter. The BBC’s North America Editor, Justin Webb, looks back at the legacy of President Bush. He speaks with current and former world leaders, senior White House staffers, diplomats and others who worked with and sometimes against President Bush.
FIRST HALF

September 11th ,2001, has become one of the most significant moments in modern history. Justin Webb investigates how the terrorist attacks that day changed American foreign policy and defined President Bush's legacy forever.
SECOND HALF

George W. Bush entered the White House under a cloud. He lost the popular vote in the 2000 election, and when the Supreme Court stopped the recount in Florida, some felt the election had been stolen. However, his popularity soared after 9/11, and he won reelection in 2004. Justin Webb explores how issues like Hurricane Katrina, Guantanamo Bay, and Abu Ghraib will impact President Bush’s legacy.
