Fresh Start
There are many efforts around the world to stop prison inmates from returning to criminal behavior once they are no longer behind bars. The BBC’s Lucy Ash looks at some of the more innovative programs to curb recidivism.

FIRST HALF

From working with puppies and wild horses in Kansas to an “ecological jail' on an island in a Norwegian fjord, Lucy Ash examines efforts to use the power of nature to tame aggressive behaviors.
SECOND HALF

Lucy Ash visits the Prison Entrepreneurship Program in Texas, where imprisoned gang leaders learn to put their business skills to good use. She also travels to Italy, where a gourmet restaurant inside a maximum security jail has become Tuscany's most exclusive eatery, even though the chefs and waiters are all doing time.
